Joe Lieberman (Conn.) opposes the public option and joins the party of “No!”. It’s hard to believe that politicians, voted by the people for the people, disregard the people’s will for the sake of campaign contributions. The most recent polls show that over 70 percent of Americans are in favor of some kind of public option. Joe Lieberman received one million dollars in campaign contributions from Aetna, whose base is in Connecticut. Joe Lieberman has become a political whore, traitor, and, an accessory to murder. He is an accessory to murder because 45,0000 Americans die each year because they can’t afford health inusrance. Mr. Lieberman, you have blood on your hands.

I don’t understand why people oppose the Public Option when they know 44,000 people die every year because they can’t afford health insurance. This death toll increases annually. The public option gives those who can’t afford health insurance the opportunity to have it at an affordable rate. Why do we wish to deny people the right to healthcare? Why do we wish for someone’s mother, father, child, or relative to die from lack of treatment because they can’t afford it? I don’t get that kind of selfish thinking.
Health insurance companies control this Country. We have no freedom. It’s an illusion. Health insurance companies have the power to determine our fate, and ultimately our destiny. They can raise rates at will, and they do. They can deny care at will, and they do. Just recently, the health insurance industry said they would raise rates if health reform (absent the public option) passes. In other words, they want no health reform. Instead, they are choking this Country and it’s people with their money and power. Believe me, it is some kind of power when an industry can manipulate congress with their vile threats.
How many of us have insurance and worry about rates going up? How many of us worry about pre-existing conditions? How many of us worry about a loved one who doesn’t have health insurance? Let’s stop the worrying. Let’s take back our Country. Let’s take back our destiny as Americans. We have the right to choose our own fate, not the insurance companies. We need the public option to break this deadly strangle hold. Power to the people. Power to the people. Repeat it, “Power to the people. . . and not to corporate greed.”
The war isn’t between the Liberals and the Conservatives, something I once thought. This political war between Democrats and Republicans is spawned by the insurance companies and their multi-million dollar lobbying efforts. Our politicians are also strangled by these corporate giants via campaign contributions. The war is against Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc. These corporate giants are taking over our lives, and one of the ways they are doing this is by lining the pockets of our politicians with our money they have received in inflated premiums and from denying care under the pre-existing condition contract clause. In essence, they use our hard-earned money to control our fate.
Insurance companies are taking away our lives. They are committing murder for the sake of power and greed. It’s time to unite as one people. It’s time for all Americans, from all walks of life, to join forces and fight for our fate and our destiny. We have the power to take back this Country if we unite and stand up as one people. Rise up ye Liberals and ye Conservatives. Rise up and let’s stand together and take back our Country. Let’s remove this strangle hold once and for all.

Why do we settle for something less than the standards we set for ourselves? We all possess some kind of code of ethics and some kind of standards of human character; however, when it comes to political ideology, we tolerate that which we normally wouldn’t tolerate. Are we so insecure about our politcal beliefs that we have to seek validation in something that violates the standards we set for ourselves. Most of us, in our daily living, will not tolerate hatred, but we tolerate it when we seek validation of our political beliefs.
